Seborrheic dermatitis/dandruff
Seborrheic dermatitis (also known as "seborrhea") is a common condition characterized by red, flaky and sometimes greasy skin on the scalp, certain areas of face, chest and back. Seborrheic dermatitis may occur at any age but most commonly begins in infancy or during middle age. Common sites of involvement are the scalp, behind ears, sides of nose , eyebrows or skin folds in adults such as under the breasts and under the arms. Often this condition can cause itching or burning. Scalp involvement in infants is commonly known as "Cradle cap".
